Discover how you can help the Woodsboro Volunteer Fire Company!  We are always seeking VOLUNTEERS to accomplish our missions!

Social Members volunteer their time at the complex and fire hall. These members assist with complex functions such as cooking, operating concession stands, scheduling, the development of fund raisers, and more! It is a great team environment and gives you the opportunity to network with other volunteers and meet people within the community!

Active Members volunteer their time to respond to emergency fire, rescue, and/or ems calls. They also work along with the Social members and assist with complex functions and fund raisers. If you become an active member, you will have the opportunity to be trainined in various fire, life saving, and resuce skills at no cost to you! Classes are usually held around the Frederick County Area!   In addition, all Active Volunteer Members (in good standing) have the opportunity to attend college while they are active with the Fire/Rescue Company!!

Community Donations: If you are unable to volunteer, but would like to help the Woodsboro Volunteer Fire/Rescue Company in its mission, you may donate monetary funds!  We utilize these funds to maintain our emergency apparatus and facilities.  You may make a secure donation online through our website or send us a check through the mail!  All donations are tax deductible and your contribution will be recognized during the next Company Meeting unless you would like to remain anonymous!  The Activities Facility (Coppermine Road) Minimize

The Activities Complex, located on Coppermine Road, in Woodsboro Maryland is perfect for large events such as wedding receptions, birthday parties, reunions, anniversaries, bingos, line dancing, banquets, fundraisers, corporate events, and etc.  It is our largest facility encompassing 6700 square feet and has a seating capacity of 400. We welcome you to explore our facility by clicking the image to your left or the link above.

All funds that are received from your rental(s) are directly linked to the Woodsboro Volunteer Fire Company. Rental funds received from your events help us maintain our apparatus (fire engines, ambulance, squad, etc.) and facilities.  These funds in effect help us better respond to emergencies in Woodsboro and the surrounding communities.

Leiter's Fine Catering (301-223-7070), Cozy Restaurant (301-271-7373), and Watson's (301-663-6996) are the recommended caterer's.  Be sure to let these caterer's know that you are looking into renting our "Activities Complex" when you give them a call.

 Community CPR Training

The Woodsboro Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will be sponsoring a Community CPR Class on March 06, 2010.  The course is being offered at a discount price to the Community for $30.00.  No prior CPR knowledge is required! This is your chance to finally learn CPR. You may also want to brush up on your skill set! You will receive a CPR Certification from the American Red Cross upon successful completion.
